Where do I set the option to use my own view for a node gallery? I see in views there is "Node Gallery: Gallery Item Views" and the rendered page defaults to use the "Image Thumbnail Grid details" view. How do I reset this to use my own view?

hi,
Node gallery D7 module comes with gallery item contnet type with gallery media field as "File" type, so D7 node gallery views can have only " rendered file" option and those views are not useful to customise the views as we like, to solve that issue I deleted default gallery media file field and created a new field as "image" field , later i I changed/ created field based views ( D7 node gallery comes with content based views) and later I could able to list images/galleries as per my requirement.

However i faced one issue later ...I think deleting the default gallery media feild and creating new gallery media feild as "image" causing issue in sorting and managing the photos....i reported this here http://drupal.org/node/1983848 ....however everything else works fine. so using above method u can create u r own views as per u rrequirements.

I tried to delete the default node_gallery_media field and to replace it with node_gallery_media field made with image type. But the problem is that in my case the nodes of gallery items are created, but the images are not attached.

ohh ok, just have a look if actually imagecache is generating images or not, in D6 I faced issue with imagecache, in D6 I can upload the images but images wont be listed in gallery view or in gallery node, just a thought.
