Hi,

I have added the Mailchimp, mailchimp lists and mailchimp campaigns modules to Drupal and they seem to be all working properly.

However I am having trouble finding information about customizing macros to control what gets added to the newsletter generated by mailchimp campaigns. I wish to do this so that recent content gets automatically added to a newsletter draft which the newsletter editor in the client company can then fine tune before sending. I would like to use the drupal CCK to add a checkbox field 'mark for possible inclusion in mailchimp newsletter' to limit which nodes are included in the newsletter as well as limiting by date.

Can you advise on how I would write the above specification as a macro that limits by recency and CCK field and/or provide some more samples of ways of using Mailchimp Campaign Macros?

The only sample of the format for the Mailchimp Campaign Macro I have found is:
[mailchimp_campaign|entity_type=node|entity_id=1|view_mode=teaser]

Thanks in advance,

Paul

“And now our watch [for support of the 7.x-2.x version of the MailChimp module] has ended…” With the approaching deprecation of MailChimp’s API version 2.0, I’m sad to say we too must turn the page. This branch will become unsupported in early October and officially deprecated by the end of this year (2016).

Fret not! The 7.x-4.x and 8.x versions come highly recommended. Both are using Mailchimp’s new API 3.0 and are being actively maintained. If you find this issue still exists on either the 7.x-4.x or 8.x branches, let us know by opening a new ticket. “What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger!”
