Installing Ckeditor Breaks field wrapper selection

Not sure if this lies more in the CKEditor module's camp, but installing and enabling the CKEditor module breaks the Wrapper markup dropdown, and field formatting on displayed nodes. All I see is an empty drop down list, and the fields are set back to the basic drupal formatting when displayed. if I disable the CKEditor module, everything is groovy.

I can get around this by using the wysiwyg integration for CKEditor, but i'd much rather use the CKEditor module; it's a better fit for managing per-user options. I'm more than happy to try and troubleshoot this, or open up an issue over at the ckeditor project, but i'm not sure what is causing fences to break. Pointers on how to troubleshoot would be much appreciated.
