camdarley CreditAttribution: camdarley commentedThanks, that's a great inspiration... I was thinking for a long time about a three columns display with folders/tag navigation in a left sidebar, and an ajax loaded file entity form in a right sidebar.
The key features to keep from koken are:
- Three columns display
- Folder/Tags navigation (folder navigation is already done) -> "smart lists". We could add as many as views blocks that we would like here (date nav, last import, etc...)
- Ajax loaded entity form -> maybe the most difficult part
- Inline exposed filters with search input, as a "toolbar"
- Ajax "Add folder" button.
- Thumbnails/Thumbnails List/List button to switch between different displays (different view displays)
I think the layout is not possible with views only... Instead with ugly css positioning... But each columns can be filled with view displays.

Another very cool feature from that CMS is the plugin for Lightroom. I just have installed it and will play a little with it in the next few weeks.

camdarley CreditAttribution: camdarley commentedMaybe the Lightroom plugin should take place in a specific module... Many people don't use it... although it may be useful for others.
An other useful feature I forgot is a file drop zone... It could be useful to just drag&drop a file in the thumbnail viewer to upload it in the current folder... then edit it with the form in the sidebar.
