List the contents of author?

You'll want to turn on the Views module to create a view for your block. I can't really tell what exactly you want to accomplish with this block, but you'll want to add the "Content: Title" and the "Content: Author uid" for the fields, filter for "Content: Type=Article", and sort either post date or updated date. You can group by author or just display the author with the content title. Hopefully that helps you out, and if not, please ask a more detailed question for a follow up.
