Include the 'click to edit' option

A feature of the editable fields module is that in the views field configuration, when choosing 'editable' it will show the option 'click to edit'. This is very handy for select lists that allow multiple selections (and bullet points or checkboxes when using better exposed filters), because such a list can be long and thus needs to expand/collapse.
Currently with the editable table enabled, I don't see a way to keep this collapsed or as button 'click to edit', which results in select lists that push the complete row height in the table.
