On my site at http://www.biosphericproject.com I have got node tags on the content pages to set the description as node:summary. Because there is an image at the top of many of them, the meta description appears on Google as something like
Thumbnail Image: Biospheric Project, Biospheric Foundation, Manchester International Festival, Ecology, MIFBiospheric. Hello and welcome!
The Hello and Welcome text is the text in the body, the rest is just image text. I cannot see a way to filter the image out of the meta description. Is there a way to do this?

DamienMcKennaThat's by design. This is controlled by the token display settings for that content type, so if you customize the body field on that view mode you'll be able to control how the node:summary token is output.
