If I enter the wrong captcha in the user registration form (only form I have it on), if the wrong captcha is entered the next screen says to check your email for registration details instead of saying wrong captcha, try again. No user account is created however.

I can not reproduce this on a fresh drupal install with 7.x-1.x-dev

Have you already tried with version 7.x-1.x-dev?

do you have other modules installed releated to registration/user management?
