Can someone please provide a short tutorial as how we can create the slideshow block, import images, etc. for this specific theme?

Yes. I have been struggling for the last tow days . The slideshows who are working well as page and block are not working in the slideshow location of the zircon theme. Can someone guide us ?

found a workaround. (finally). Used flexslider-views-slideshow module.

>enable the module.
>add a view
(give your view name,show, type etc etc accordingly)
>display format -> 'slideshow' of 'fields'. (views slideshow module needed)
>click continue & edit
>on the next page, add the image field.
>in the slideshow settings, choose 'FlexSlider' as the 'slideshow type' from the drop down menu. Thats it!

Thanks for the alternative solution, I will try it and surely it will work.
But why isn't the theme's built-in slider working for us?

Issue summary: View changes

Here are some options to configure the slideshow in the Zircon theme:
To resize the slides:
Goto Configuration->Image styles->Slideshow->Edit->then change "width and height" fields.

To remove the text from slides:
Navigate to: Structure->Views->click edit of Slideshow->remove body field in section FIELD.

Add or Remove a slideshow image:
The Slides are under the Content Type->Article, so you can Add or Remove a slideshow image by add/edit/delete an Article type.

To re-order the slides:
Just Edit the Article related to each slide and change the Posted time for it. By default the slides are shown in the most recent posted order. If you want to change the sorting, edit the View.
