UPDATE: turns out Views Slideshow is the critical factor.

I haven't been able to get this working with Firefox or any Explorer browser with Omega Theme. I must be missing something really obvious. Anyone else have it working with those browsers? Chrome is the only browser that works for me.

I had the same problem with Omega and the slideshow image. Overriding the width for the image of the slideshow to 100% solved the issue for me.

#block-views-slideshow-block .adaptive-image {
width: 100%;
}
