I'm having trouble changing the front page of my site. I created what I want to be a home page as a "Basic Page" under create content and added the url to the site information settings to set it as the default front page.
After I added that url, it breaks both the page I created, and still doesn't change the front page.
Thanks for any help.

if you go to my site creightonmsrc.org and click on "Home", I'd like that to just be the front page, and probably not say home like it does. I went through the suggested way, but I couldn't figure out how to get a basic page setup as the front page.

Asaphjay CreditAttribution: Asaphjay commentedHi,
I have been cracking my brain on this, and I was getting frustrated. I have just disabled the Recruiter Front context; and I am happy its out of the front page.
I would want to include them, and will do so using the basic block & views features.
However I must say that this distribution is extensive, and complex, covering a lot of the ground that's needed. The developers did not consider allowing others to work with it in that, the developer features are everywhere. Theming / Styling isn't centrally handled; for instance.
It would be great to look at the distro in the eyes of a guy seeing it for the first - and used to the modularity of Drupal.

I agree with you on the distribution is extensive, and complex. However, is part of the Drupal community to give back of what you know. So, if you learn something please shared with us by providing documentation or something like that. I have been working with this distro over 8 months and at first was very difficult on understand the entire distro.
By any chance do you have any ideas on how can we improve this distro with more details and how we can accomplish these goals ?
@crss You should consider moving your website from RapidWeaver to Drupal so you have an consistency on your website. You can accomplish your work by creating a new template for the front page. Here are three useful links on information on how to create front page templates https://www.drupal.org/node/1089656 , https://www.drupal.org/node/62468 , https://www.drupal.org/node/223440. You might have to remove the blocks from the front page by using the context module.
If you have any other question on how to create a front page template you should consider looking for help at Drupal.org forum for theming (https://www.drupal.org/forum/3) or at the IRC either this channel #drupal-themes or this channel #drupal-omega
I will close this issue if you have any other question please let me know and re-open it.
