I recently downloaded and installed the boldly theme (6.x-1.2)... I just want to know how I can make my site look just as the theme is.. What I'm saying is how can I take out all the default components and replace them wt my own..
Firstly how do I configure the slider and put together a brilliant Hompage.. Also when I change the frontpage to a page of my choice in site information (administer->site configuration->site information) it conflicts wt the page-front.tpl.php settings so I had to remove it (page-front.tpl.php) to make my homepage wat I want it to be...
Secondly, I have included some RSS Feeds on the site but the link in the theme does not seem to recognize it. so when I click on it, it does not display any of my feeds rather it says page not found.. Do I have to create a separate page for my feeds and then link to it wt the rss button that has been provided in the theme
Thank u in advance for the assistance

the_g_bomb CreditAttribution: the_g_bomb commentedHi,
Thanks for downloading the theme. There are some basic instructions to set up the test site at:
http://www.garethalexander.co.uk/tech/boldy-theme-live-preview-setup-ins..., but to set up the slider/carousel I find the instructions at:
http://www.brightwebsitedesign.com/how-to-install-and-set-up-nivo-slider...
very useful.
To set up the rss feed.
The way the theme is meant to work at the moment is that you create a feed in views with the path of rss. I'll make a note of this as a feature request that the rss feed location should be changeable.
To solve your issue, for the moment you could either edit the theme file itself and change the location of where the button is pointing or you could change the location of the feed, the choice is yours.

H-J CreditAttribution: H-J commentedThank u for the details ... Sorry it took me this long to reply, I have been snowed in under way to much work...
Now this particular link (that u provided) does not seem to open up at all
http://www.garethalexander.co.uk/tech/boldy-theme-live-preview-setup-ins...
On the other hand I found very useful (but tedious) info on
http://www.brightwebsitedesign.com/how-to-install-and-set-up-nivo-slider...
It is not an option now cos I am running out of time on this particular project.. So perhaps next time (on some other project) I might try it out ...
Thank you

the_g_bomb CreditAttribution: the_g_bomb commentedI has been known, I usually just need to restart the webserver and for the most part I keep quite a vigilant eye on it, but sometimes I just get too busy and have to rely on reports from google or visitors. Sorry for the inconvienience. I don't really have the money to spend on a reliable server at the moment, so the box in the corner of the room will have to do for the moment. I have a plan at some point to move the docs onto drupal.org, but I want to properly flesh them out first and haven't had time for that either.
