Hi!

I have read the Community Working Group Charter and wonder where I can get access to the the Conflict Resolution Process (CRP) and related documentation and "What to do in case of X" guidelines.

Background
I am not a techie guy so I hired an Indian company to do a transfer of a social media from one domain host provider to another with better terms for me.

However, they can not complete the transfer fully. There is no access to the files that was uploaded before the transfer started. It says: page not found - The requested page is not found See file http://www.somerco.com/file/80160 and backwards

Soon we are into the third month since the transfer started. My contact at the company does not call back or are out of the office when I call.

Moreover, it nearly does not work to delete forum spammers anymore. I am planning to relaunch the site after I found a partner that can build.

As you can see I am trying to get them to finish the transfer so it is not a business dispute. I hope to avoid it. I have the link you provided already. But I am trying to find the Conflict Resolution Process (CRP) and related documentation, including the Drupal Code of Conduct and "What to do in case of X" guidelines. The documentation is not there.

When I read scope in the Charter it describes CWGs primary goals.

However, to start with I need access to the CRP. Does anyone else know where I find it?

This is for community matters. If (to give a random example) you have a dispute about some code you want Dries or Webchick to commit to Drupal core, you feel the decision has been handled improperly, you or someone else would invoke the process by posting an issue to https://drupal.org/project/issues/drupal-cwg.

If you posted an issue related to the transfer of site problem you also noted in this thread, which obviously has not the remotest connection with the stated scope of the charter, it would be immediately closed, and would only waste everyone's time.

John is precisely correct. And this is a business dispute ... And I'm fairly certain this group, or any other for that matter, will not get involved. But that's what an issue in the issue queue will confirm if you really doubt what we're saying and what the charter says.

Me and the others both have accounts and send posts in the Drupal community.

It is not a business dispute when I am still trying to resolve it in a positive manner.

I have read the code of conduct and the charter several times - it says nothing about it has to be a about a coding issue. I just want access to the Conflict Resolution Process (CPR) where CWG guide through the process.

Lets all be positive. :-)

I get what you are saying, but it most definitely is a business dispute in that it's a dispute between two parties doing business together (you used the word "hire" in your op afterall) and it's not a drupal dispute(not just code, but forums, documentation, issue queues, irc, etc).

I agree the code of conduct could be clearer, but i've been a webmaster for a number of years now and every single time this type of situation has been raised the response has always, always, been 'the drupal community and drupal association don't arbitrate, participate, or otherwise interfere between parties unless it's directly related to drupal or *.drupal.org'.

No one's trying to be negative-- we're trying to stop you from wasting your time. But whatever. i think it's safe to say neither of us knows where the CRP is (or we would have linked it), so just create an issue in the issue queue.

The Charter is for "Community Members". Your posts amount to asking three questions in two years. The developer's extent of community contribution is two posts in three weeks. None of these posts evidently amount to a great deal in terms of voluntary work to make Drupal better for the public who enjoy it as a free gift (which is indeed not limited to coding). Both you and your developer are very welcome as community members. It is foreseeable, and perhaps worth mentioning now to avoid later disappointment, that the working group, most of whom will have given hundreds and in some, perhaps most, cases thousands of hours for free, will feel that, regardless of what exactly constitutes a community member, asking them to spend additional hours working on dispute resolution would under these circumstances, where your contributions to the community are, with respect, still at a fairly early stage, be a lot to ask of them.

To Waterfalls I was wrong about the Conflict Resolution Process and related documentation and "What to do in case of X" guidelines.

However, the problem is still there. The Indian company cannot resolve it yet.

However, I was hoping that your replies would have focused on finding a solution to the problem. I have seen the people from Xelera communication here. Perhaps, you have a solution to the problem we have. Xelera Communication are the company who built the platform so they could have a good answer.

Or if anyone else has a solution than them I would be happy to take them.

Assuming 'Waterfalls' is supposed to be me, thanks for replying back and clarifying. however, I'm not about to wade into a business dispute between 2 parties with whom I am not familiar, other than to simply make a generic suggestion-- you should probably consult a lawyer/attorney in the country where the business is legally registered.

To Upload Files Using the FTP File Manager

It takes up to 1 hour to create a database.
Once the database is created, you can click Actions, and then Details to find more information, such as its host name.

To stop a botscout [spambot is what I meant] from registering new profiles you put in a reCaptcha you have to fill-in when you register a new profile. After that there will hardly be any forumspammers. The old ones I will start to delete as soon as possible. Once again the groups for the members stays on the somerco platform.

You can back up and restore databases as often as you'd like.
Backing up a MySQL or MSSQL Database
You can back up MySQL and MSSQL databases from the Database section of the Hosting Control Panel.
This creates and stores your backups in a folder on your hosting account, XXX.
NOTE:If you encounter an error the first time you attempt to create a backup, you should make sure the directory XXX exists. This directory cannot be seen using the File Manager, as files with an underscore are hidden. However, using an FTP client you can select the option to show hidden files and directories.
To Back up a MySQL or MSSQL Database
Log in to your Account Manager.
Click Web Hosting.
Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
In the Databases section of the Hosting Control Panel, click the icon for the type of database you want to backup.
Click the Actions next to the database you would like to back up to open its edit features.
Click Back Up.
Click OK to backup your database.
NOTE: When you create a backup file using the Hosting Control Panel, our system names the file using the name of the existing database. While you cannot define a filename during the backup process, you can rename a file once the process is complete.
