I have a strange bug and I don't really know if this is really a bug of Hierarchical Select, but it would be great, if someone looks at it.

When I select an item of an hierarchical Dropdown something of Drupals AJAX settings get reset. Somehow the Entity Reference View Widget does not remember the View Mode Template and uses the wrong template. Instead of just the teaser the normal, full node view.

On my installation, it completely kills Entity Reference View Widget. Totally kills it. It spins for a minute, then drops off, displaying no modal window, and certainly no data. Which stinks, because this module solved a problem for me... other than the fact the Javascript wouldn't work either.

All of the code bases involved have move a lot in the 4 years since this was reported.

If this is still an issue could someone please reopen with detailed instructions to replicate. Preferably starting from a clean install of D7 with the Standard profile.
