Problem/Motivation
I've noticed that there are quite a few of spam lessons and ladders.
Proposed Solution
There should be an option, possibly part as a status that all users can set, so that others become aware that it's spam. There is a significant amount on spam on ladders, and they are one of the first ladders to show up.

BrockBoland CreditAttribution: BrockBoland commentedThanks for the heads-up. I had been cleaning these out every week or two last year, but things had been fine for a long (after we enabled Mollom or something, I can't remember now). I just cancelled 7 spam accounts and deleted all their account. Not bad for six months or so.

cs_shadow CreditAttribution: cs_shadow commentedThere are a bunch of ladders which are spam and since there are about 7500 of these spam ladders I'm also raising the priority, Since, most of these posts are by username 'spormaster2029' so I'm guessing it should be relatively easy to fix.

kay_v CreditAttribution: kay_v as a volunteer commentedBrief update on spam cleanup
Individual volunteers have cleaned out most spam. Overly tight account creation/approval policies have helped keep the site free of spam since, but creation of quality content has predictably dropped off.
@yesct, you have permissions on the site to manage users, content, etc., as do 20 or so folks.
Improvements to spam control
Drupal.org has what looks like a good crowdsourcing approach to confirming trusted community members: confirmed members have a button so they can confirm other members. See the following 2 links:
@yesct, I see you were a part of that effort. Do you think it's a reasonable thing for the Drupal Ladder, as well?
Coordinating
Let's coordinate our spam control efforts as well as improving the ways we encourage contribution of quality content. More information on the DrupalLadder group.
