Possible to add support for search block? [#2060905]

I've been trying to find a home for the default search block, but with the current block structure wherever I place it feels out of place (pre-header, header, post-header, highlighted) it seems to create too much white space when introduced into the available blocks.

I would like to put forward a suggestion to add it under/above the Menu area and CSS to make it blend into the great Writer theme.

Thanks for reporting. I just added some more styles to clean up the look of this. This update has been pushed to 7.x-2.x (see commit here) and 8.x-2.x (see commit here).
