Hey guys,
Thanks for maintaining Bear! Really like the direction you're going for.
Unfortunately, I'm receiving errors while trying to update Bear from the web interface:
"Downloading updates failed:
bear-7.x-1.x-dev-core.tar.gz does not contain any .info files."
Any thoughts?

Jody LynnI don't recommend updating Bear. Just update the contributed modules it comes with as needed.
We see Bear as just a starter kit, and it doesn't have any update paths as it gets changed. We just use the latest dev when we make a new site and don't worry about updating sites to newer versions of bear.
As far as that particular error I'm not sure, as I don't think I've ever updated a profile from the web interface (not sure if that even works).

sk33lz CreditAttribution: sk33lz commentedBear is not intended to be updated like other installation profiles or distributions. Bear is a starter kit, so after installation all contrib projects and bear_skin can be updated like you would normally update contrib projects. New updates of Bear are released on occasion, but those new releases should only be used for new site installations and not updated on a live site. I am closing this as it works as designed.
