When Trusted Contacts is not enabled, the word "group" appears where the "+ trusted contact" button normally would. This makes the page confusing. The page should display information clearly even if Trusted Contacts is disabled.

japerryThis patch puts a conditional around the panel that uses trusted contacts, and applies the changes when the trusted contacts module is enabled and disabled.

I revised #4 to only set #access to FALSE when Commons_trusted_contacts module is not enabled and the group_group field exists on the user and committed:
