When adding a new image (for example as a default image for a field) the various threshold images are not created, I get 404 errors from the server. Any poiners?

On the image styles admin page, do any of the previews work?

There are lots of things that could be going wrong.

Here are a few things to check:
- Make sure image styles are working on the site
- Cleared the cache?
- Make sure the Rewritebase in your .htaccess file is correct
