Please upgrade html5shiv.js to the latest version: https://github.com/aFarkas/html5shiv/zipball/master
For me this fixes Ie8 print-style rendering of HTML5 elements.

Maybe this issue is related: https://drupal.org/node/1960688, since Amir pulled in the latest version directly, fixing whatever problem he/she had with IE8.

This applies to all 7.x versions, not just 2.10.
