gregglesI suggest making an 8.x-1.x-dev release and showing that on the project page for a while. D8 core still doesn't have official releases on the project page, so an alpha feels premature. We can show the 8.x-1.x-dev on the project page without an alpha or beta. No need to rush the process ;)

gregglesOh, and thanks for kicking off this work! I didn't review or test the code now (my focus is much more on D7) but I will certainly be looking to the d8 version in the next year or so.
