While using the erpal demo as well as my local installation, I attempted to use the calendar under each project. Selecting the "plus sign" next to the day sends me back to the project homepage. Also, there is no "Create Date" command button.

How do you create a calendar entry under a project?

The + should not appear. This is a bug. The dates in the project calendar will appear if you set deadlines to tasks. These task deadlines will fill the calendar.

I can confirm that those seem to still be there in a fresh --branch 7.x-2.x install.

Any ETA on when this will be removed?

Same here on beta1 although clicking the "plus sign" opens URL like /node/add/erpal-date?erpal_date=2014-Apr-09 titled "Create Datum".
