Have sites that feature recurring content, such as "planning for the Christmas holidays", that run each year at the same time. I'm interested in using the Rules module to automate placing these recurring nodes on the front page.

Using the Rules module, I'm able to schedule promotion to the front page--but need to also change the node:created date to match the date promoted, so that the content isn't buried behind more current content.

It's the same request that was made (and answered for Drupal 6) at this link: https://groups.drupal.org/node/50793 However, the "set date created" action mentioned there does not appear to have been ported to Drupal 7.

How can I achieve this? Ideally, I would like to set a date for front page promotion, and at the same time, update node:created to the same value.
