I have been looking all morning, seems like this module might be the culprit?
My forum topics are set to a "public access" group that includes anonymous / authenticated users. However, even after I "unpublish" from the node/edit screen the forum topic, its viewable at the direct URL. Is there any way to fix this?
-Thanks!

gordon CreditAttribution: gordon commentedThis is not simple access.
Simple access has no control over how the content is displayed. If it is being displayed by views check the setting of the view. it maybe displaying unpublished content.
Simple access only sets the node access api so that during the select the content is excluded if certain permissions are not set. We have nothing to do with the actual displaying of content.

I will double check the settings, but the internet forwarded me to question if my issue was with an "additional access module" which this is the only one I have installed. You're right probably an issue with my view - thanks.

I have a forum topic node that is unpublished, but part of the Simple Access group Public Access, which lets anonymous and authenticated users view the content.
How can I get simple access to not show unpublished content? It seems like I am granting public access to this node even for anonymous users, even when is unpublished.
Its definitely not a view - the node page is showing the content to an anonymous user even though its unpublished.

update: if i just remove all simple access rules from this node type, the behavior works as expected.
