I am working on a project that does require a number of patches applied
e.g.:
#418464: TW doesn't seem to recognize primary key
#869144: Invisible primary key
and some sort of stable release existing on d.o.

Done. Use the power wisely, but use the power (in the past there've been a couple who requested maintainership and I added, and they never did anything...).
