Have completed the steps of configuring two of my content types to have files. When I go back to edit the fields for those two content types, there is no commerce file field nor is it available as a new field type to add.

It provides a regular file field called "commerce_file" on the product types you selected when configuring the module (admin/commerce/config/license)

bobmurdoch CreditAttribution: bobmurdoch commentedI have set the product types on the admin/commerce/config/license page, and the trouble is the "commerce_file" file field does not appear when I return to edit the product content type. I've tried clearing all caches and reinstalling the module. I am using Commerce Kickstart if that makes a difference.

El Bandito CreditAttribution: El Bandito commentedI'm with Bob exactly. What does "The field is on the variation." actually mean ?
Thanks

El Bandito CreditAttribution: El Bandito commentedI followed the instructions here : https://drupal.org/node/2043917, after watching this video http://www.commerceguys.com/resources/articles/254. Now I read the instructions more closely I'm thinking that the 2.X branch should have directly attached a file field to my product type, rather than create a field to be manually added ( as the video shows for 1.X ).
However it doesn't seem to work ( for me at least, and I'm guessing for Bob also ). I attach a screen snap of my product type.
I am using Commerce File 7.x-2.0-beta1 with Commerce License 7.x-1.0-beta2.
Any guidance appreciated. Happy to help if I can.

El Bandito CreditAttribution: El Bandito commentedI'm not closing this because it wasn't my issue, but I realise now I hadn't followed the instructions correctly. I had missed step 4 "Switch to the File tab .........".
Apologies for the time waste, but at least this issue might help other bozos in future ....
Keep up the great work on Commerce !
