I am getting the following error when I try to upgrade from 2.6 to 3.0:

Fatal error: Access to undeclared static property: lessc::$VERSION in /site/sites/all/modules/less/less.module on line 360

All other mods and core are all up to date. I also tried the following with the same result:
- totally uninstalling 2.6 and them installing 3.x (same error in install)
- installing 3.x-dev and I get the same error

Not sure where to go from here....

It looks like you're using an out of date version of lessphp.

Try updating your lessphp library and then you should be able to use the latest version of the module.

This issue was caused by using an out of date version of leafo/lessphp.

As there has been no feedback from the opener of the ticket, I'm closing it.
