Is this module ready for D6 and D7 point releases? If not, what's missing?

I haven't updated the 6.x version since 2010, and it seems there are ~20 users for it. So I won't bother updating this branch.

For 7.x, there are a few tickets I'd like to fix before making a 1.0 release:
