#1705826: Load brightcove javascript over correct HTTP/HTTPS protocol relates to the 3.x version of this module. the patch I'm supplying for 4.x is a port of the patch uploaded in comment #10 of that issue.

Needs to be rerolled after the output (brightcove-field-player.tpl.php) was changed recently to use HTML5 tags.

That issue got committed but to 5.x only. In case it helps anyone, though, I posted 7.x-3.x and 7.x-4.x versions here: #1705826-18: Load brightcove javascript over correct HTTP/HTTPS protocol

Not sure if they should be moved to this issue or what.

It has been fixed in the latest version of the module (7.x-5.x). Please note that only version 5 will be supported in the future.
