date export adds 4 hours to the time of event

When opening the downloaded export file in my calendar of choice (for this example it was iCal), the date is correct, but the time appears to be 4 hours BEFORE the time designated in the date/time field. I am not sure why this is happening as my site is using the correct time zone in the site settings and no time zone conversion is happening..
