Undefined Variable and Undefined Index Errors Appearing

Hi all,

I've been developing a site based on Commerce Kickstart, and everything has been going great for the most part. Then all of the sudden (I was adding basic content at the time), I started getting several errors for a particular region on the page. Essentially, the user bar first/second, branding, and menu block regions have disappeared and have been replaced by these two error messages on any page across the entire site (including some back-end admin pages):

Notice: Undefined variable: secondary_local_tasks in include() (line 13 of /home/user_admin//profiles/commerce_kickstart/themes/omega_kickstart/shiny/templates/page.tpl.php).

Notice: Undefined index: help in include() (line 22 of /home/user_admin//profiles/commerce_kickstart/themes/omega_kickstart/shiny/templates/page.tpl.php).

Any ideas what could be causing this, and how to remedy?
