How to enable content protection? [#2139443]

Hello

I've been searching around and trying various configurations and cannot for the life of me get the content protection feature of the module to do anything. Is there any documentation on how to enable this?

I have a file field on a content type with the display set to jPlayer
I have the module installed and enabled (of course)

I've tried uploading the file to a specific directory within files/public...setting the field visibility permissions to public and private

whatever I do it either does nothing, makes the file unplayable in the playlist or hides the file all together. Can someone tell me how configure my content type, field and directory to get this to work?

OK, so I think I figured it out. A little bit of documentation would be helpful here, maybe this will save someone else some time.

In your content type the upload destination must be set to private. The thing that was getting me was that in Chrome at least you are still able to download a file, but it is a small like 4k unplayable file.

I know this is not bullet-proof protection but good enough for my needs.
