using date api for start/end dates

Hello All,

I'm attempting to use this great module to build a block (using views) that shows:

- the current temperature
- tomorrows temperature
- the day after tomorrow temperature

So far, everything is going well, but I have no way of showing the date of the forecast except in the default format: YYYY/MM/DD 24:00:00

It would be nice if I could the start time with period and get something like: Friday Morning

Is there a way to incorporate the date module with the weather module?

Is there another way of going about this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
