Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
After installation of 7.x-2.12 core, OA functions normally, however, the admin button rolls out a blank (white) administration panel with no content. I have reproduced this problem on three different servers on php 5.3 and 5.4, and differently configured mySQL databases, including a local WAMP server. Firebug console shows no errors.
Screenshot attached.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Cheers
Edan

mpotter CreditAttribution: mpotter commentedI cannot reproduce this. Try clearing the Drupal cache? If you have tried different servers maybe it's a client browser issue of some kind? Try a different browser? Haven't seen this on any of our dozens of test sites though. Maybe inspect the page in Chrome to see if the menu is just being hidden somehow?

Niklas.G CreditAttribution: Niklas.G commentedHave four OA sites and get the same problem with one of my sites, the site works fine with another browser (problem in firefox and works with ie). I guess it will work fine if I/you clear all caches, will test this later ;-)

totolearn CreditAttribution: totolearn commentedOK, I have the same problem using 2.12 version.
I tested on 3 browser, Chrome, Firefox have the blank pull-down, but IE (11 on Win 8) are OK.
So, what trigger such differences?

mpotter CreditAttribution: mpotter commentedCheck the Console tab in Chrome to be sure you are not getting any Ajax errors. Also, as mentioned in #1 you might need to inspect the page in Chrome or Firebug to try and determine why it is getting hidden.
Be sure you haven't done something like update the Navbar module. It's Navbar that is providing the Admin menu. But Open Atrium uses javascript to move the Navbar menu into the Admin button of the toolbar, so if anything is causing a javascript error on your site that could cause this problem.

colorado CreditAttribution: colorado commentedI just installed a fresh OA version 7.x-2.13 - also getting the blank Admin Panel on both Firefox and Chrome, but works fine on IE 11.

mpotter CreditAttribution: mpotter commentedWonder what else might be different on your system as a fresh 7.13 version installed here works fine in both Firefox and Chrome (haven't tested IE). Very perplexed and would love some help on tracking down this one.

mpotter CreditAttribution: mpotter commentedThis was posted in the oa_radix queue: #2185673: Admin Shelf with Touchscreen shows blank which makes me wonder if this issue is a problem in NavBar with how it is detecting mobile or touch?

Anonymous (not verified) CreditAttribution: Anonymous commentedI am having the same issue posted it here: https://drupal.org/node/2185673
As i mentioned there it looks like this happens if you have a touchscreen monitor with a big display. The issue disappears if browser is re-sized to mobile size or if used on a non-touchscreen device .

JKingsnorth CreditAttribution: JKingsnorth commented#2185673: Admin Shelf with Touchscreen shows blank mpotter suggested here that this is an issue with the NavBar module rather than OpenAtrium. This issue could be moved there unless there is already an issue in the issue queue?

JKingsnorth CreditAttribution: JKingsnorth commentedThis is a duplicate of #2123627: navbar admin menu dropdown blank
A temporary solution is offered there in comment #11.
