Some basic assistance - need to display simple feed.

Hi,

Totally new to facebook apps so please be nice.

I've created an app on Facebook with some basic settings, installed the module, applied the php_notices_template_pull_feed.patch and have managed to return some basic data to the site. However it doesn't seem to make any difference what I type in the App ID or App Secret config so I don't think the app I've created or the settings I'm putting there are relevant.

What am I doing wrong?

Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Perhaps a good tutorial?
