Adding a token selector or replacement patterns section to the Default Value fieldset on field edit forms will prevent confusion on how to use the module/help folks find tokens.
[ORIGINAL POST]
Thanks for the module, this looks very promissing?
When I enable the module, is it visible in in the fieldsettings form that tokens can be used? If not, what tokens are available?
I have tried [node:nid] but if I use that the default value is empty when creating a node.
Cheers,
Joep

I'm curious about this too. I installed the mod but don't see any tokens listed in my text field's config page.
Any clarification would be great.
Thx

gtothab CreditAttribution: gtothab commentedHey,
So some cck modules provide token suggestions and those seem to be applicable with this module enabled (they didn't work prior). In particular the cck link module provides such suggestions (see img: http://graphbyte.co/misc/field.png). I've been able to use the tokens it provides in other non-link fields and they are showing the correct values.
Thanks for this module, its very practical! Integration of such token suggestions in the future would be super.

areynolds CreditAttribution: areynolds commentedI'm seeing token suggestions for my fields' help text sections, but none by the default text. HOWEVER, if I use the token suggestions from the help text section, it works great.
Taking a quick look through the module code, I'm not seeing an exposure of tokens for selection; that would be a great UX addition, so I'll change this ticket to a feature request (please change back if I'm mistaken).
Thanks for the module, seems to work well!
