Itefix is a small consulting and software company based in Oslo, Norway. We deliver our services and products to a global set of customers since 2002. We offer also a large number of free software primarily targeted at sysadmins.

Why Drupal was chosen:

We switched to Drupal about 5 years ago. Our basic concerns with the previous one were availability, support and security to some extent. We evaluated WordPress, Joomla and Drupal, and Drupal was the best one regarding usability and extendibility in a balanced combination. Having a large and active community was also a key factor.

Describe the project (goals, requirements and outcome):

Itefix started as a software blog with lots of free software, howtos and recipes. Some of the solutions got quite popular, and we introduced paid and supported solutions to meet the demand in a more professional way.

Technical specifications

Drupal version:
Drupal 7.x
Why these modules/theme/distribution were chosen:

Ubercart is the defacto standard for E-commerce sites on Drupal. Support module allows us to offer our customers a private ticketing system. Lightbox2 is used to create demo slideshows, while the FAQ Field is very convenient to create support and sales FAQs.

The design of your site looks nice. There are social buttons on your blog pages and contact form, but not existent it seems in your home page. I guess it's on a purpose.

Yes, social buttons are absent on a purpose - Our impression is that people are more inclined on propagating the real content like blog entries or web pages. We have Follow us at our about and contact pages.
NB! We have updated our home page a little bit.
