In troubleshooting you suggest: "(...) and also the latest dev versions of Views" ... Does it mean that if I need to solve any problem in the date module, I am forced to use the 6.x-3.x branch of views? Thank you in advance for your reply.

We're sorry but the D6 release of Date module is no longer being supported. You are encouraged to update to Drupal 7 or 8, or direct questions to Drupal Answers.
