The fields in my node edit form are all grouped under vertical tabs (using fieldgroup module). When I use 'quick edit' to edit non-textual fields (e.g. images, text lists, dates) the field is exposed as it would appear in the node edit form, complete with vertical tab.
It would not be too bad, but for the fact that if the field happens to be in a vertical tab that is not open by default, both the default open tab and our tab are shown, and the field we want to edit is completely hidden until we click on its tab (see screenshots).
Of course the best solution would be to liberate the field from its enclosed fieldset (i.e. vertical tab) completely :D. Is there a theme function somewhere where I can make that happen?

Wim LeersSo it looks like we'll need to do special work to support https://drupal.org/project/field_group. Patches welcome :)

DaPooch CreditAttribution: DaPooch commentedI've got a bunch of fields inside field groups also. Would be great to see this get into a future release.

DamienMcKennav1.0 was released, so this should be put back on the stack to be worked on.
FYI without full Field Group support, the UI doesn't recognize changes so the 'Save' button never shows.

DamienMcKennaLets move this over to the replacement Quick Edit module.

Wim LeersAre you sure that isn't just #2303221: Table drag's swap event should also trigger the formUpdated event?

geek-merlinI'm writing a similar module, had the very same problem and wondered how quickedit worked around this.
Now i see there is no fix yet, so here's mine:
EDIT: should go into quickedit_field_edit_form().

Thank you, axel.rutz. For me works like a sharm!
