Yes I plan to upgrade secure pages to 8.x. But due to a serious accident I am in hospital for the next couple of months and will not be working on this

The required patches have been moved to 8.x and work is being done to get these into core for the next major release.

We will have a hackathon on our company tomorrow for migrating modules to D8. We would love to work on this module if possible.

We are currently working on a port for D8 and are planning on releasing to the community. We are working on some architectural changes to improve the D8 version. The current progress can be seen @ https://github.com/d8-contrib-modules/securepages

starting a new discussion over at https://www.drupal.org/node/2818063. There has been some work done in a different sandbox, and I think that it is pretty close from a feature perspective to the D7 version. I would like to continue the conversation over on the new issue since there has been no activity here in a while.
