Spacing at the end of content types

I am trying to clear up my site for final release and I noticed there is a lot of extra spacing at the bottom of pages.
Can you point me in the right direction as to how and where to go to correct this?
Also on the same page the labels for the checkboxes are above the box can I change that to inline?
