The error message "The referenced entity (node: 123456) is invalid" is hard for a non-technical user to understand. Better wording would be something like, say for the Committee field:
The Committe field is trying to refer to /node/123456, which doesn't exist.
or
The Committe field is trying to refer to /node/123456, which is unpublished.
whichever is applicable.
Even better, make /node/123456 an open-in-a-new window link, if the user has authorization to view that node (or taxonomy or whatever).
