Setting up homepage for panels (causing SEO conflicts)

We are facing SEO issues, when we are using panels for our homepage.

I currently have two links which work as the homepage -:

- insight-client.local/insights

- insight-client.local/insights/home

And the seo team, doesn't want the second link at all. They says its creating a lot of trouble in their reports.

Suppose I remove home from site information and save it, then when I go to the panels page and try changing the link to blank, it says Path is required , and moreover that option (checkbox) of making it as home page in panels doesn't appear.

If this is a know bug, and has a workaround, please update the same.
