What would be nice is an option to toggle on/off display of hours. Not in manage display, but in the form so that profile/content owners can select the option.
Reason: Currently there is only one way to keep hours from displaying. The profile/content owner must reset all fields to their default/initial settings. Not only is this confusing and requires me to add a lot of instructions for the user it's time consuming. Profile/content owners will typically fill in their hours and see what it looks like. Then they may edit or decide not to use it at the time. Instead of making the owner reset 42 fields so that the hours will not display how about a on/off switch?

johnvI am sorry, but this seems adding extra complexity to the module for a one-time setup.
A clever user would first try 2 days, instead of 7.
Perhaps I misunderstood: you can also hide the field/widget in a collapsible fieldset using Field Group module

See the instructions I have to specify in order for the user to understand how to turn off the display of their hours. that's a lot of work. My suggestion is to have a on/off selection right there in that form. It will still display hours like that in the form, but the display can be optionally turned off or on.
