Nodes that start with " are not getting listed

entity reference 7.x-1.1
widget - autocomplete
autcomplete matching - Starts with
values - Unlimited
Target type - Node
Mode - Simple

Node that start with a double quote like "A way to be" are not getting listed in the autocomplete dropdown. If i enter " in the form all nodes are getting listed except the one with the double quote ".

If i rename existing nodes to start with a " they work fine though they look like this in the form """A way to be.."" (6)"
