Can Views Data Export support format XYZ please?

If the format you want isn't on that list, then the core Views Data Export package will not be extended to support the format you want, sorry.

However, you can easily provide support for a format in your own module. You can leverage the API that Views Data Export provides to support output in new formats, for an example of this in action, have a look at the Views Data Export JSON project.

Issues raised in the Views Data Export issue queue asking about supporting new formats, will be tagged 'new formats' and marked as 'postponed'. You can view that list.
Community members can attempt to gather support and get the required code written and projects created to support the new format, at such point the issue should be moved into that project's issue tracker.
