I am having an issue where sometimes my excluded content types are showing up in search results, but not always.
Here is what happens:
- I search for something in an excluded content type using the main search box in one browser as anonymous user.
- Excluded content is displayed
- I perform the same search in a custom search block (available only to my admin account) in a different browser where I am logged in.
- Excluded content is NOT displayed
- Repeat the first search in the first browser as anonymous user
- Excluded content is NOT displayed
I believe this is related to the search box code/javascript that I have in my page.tpl.php file that allows for switching between my web search and my library's catalog search, but I am not sure how to correct it since sometimes the results exclude content as expected. My site is www.tulsalibrary.org.

If your really want to exclude content, perhaps try using Content Access.
