Views pager is not translating

- The website i'm working with has two active languages.
- The pager is showing in the default language but switching to the other language does not result in the pager being translated.
- All other view elements are translating except for the pager.
- The pager does have translated strings so the question is why they don't show up when choosing the other language.

Any help would be appreciated.
