Unwanted line breaks <br /><br />

Hello,
my simplenews content type is ready. I have two unwanted line breaks (<br />) between body and footer. They arrive after the closing tag <div class="htmlmail-simplenews-body htmlmail-body"></div>.
I looked everywhere in .tpl files for simplenews and those for HTMLMail and I can not find where it comes from.
