Make pullquote editor work with Ckeditor module

I am trying to make pullquote module workable with ckedior module, for me it seems pullquote module has integration with wysiwyg. I am thinking to patch pullquote module to get it working with ckedior, is it the right direction to proceed? Any starting pointers to create pullquote plugin for ckeditor?
